How to get the best results with HeySunday Dishwasher sheetsUpdated 17 days ago
Using HeySunday Dishwasher Sheets should be effortless, but every dishwasher is a little different! Here are our top tips to ensure the best clean based on some of the most common questions we get.
Place the Sheet Correctly
For best results, place one sheet in the detergent compartment. If needed, you can fold or tear it to fit. Alternatively, you can place the sheet directly on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Use the Right Wash Cycle
We recommend using the normal wash cycle for optimal performance. Quick wash or eco-friendly cycles may not allow enough time for the sheet to dissolve completely.
Set the Right Water Temperature
Dishwasher sheets dissolve best at 50–60°C (122–140°F). If the water is too cold, the sheet may not fully dissolve. If it's too hot, certain cleaning enzymes may become less effective.
Prevent Residue or Film on Dishes
If you notice residue or a film after washing:
- Check your rinse cycle – Ensure there’s enough water flow to fully rinse away detergent.
- Use a rinse aid – This helps prevent water spots and residue, especially in hard water areas.
- Avoid overloading – Overcrowding the dishwasher can block water flow and affect rinsing.
Improve Performance in Hard Water
Hard water contains minerals that can cause spotting or buildup. To get the best clean:
- Fill your dishwasher’s rinse aid dispenser to help prevent mineral deposits.
- Use one full sheet per load—or adjust slightly based on your water quality.
Address Lingering Scents on Dishes
Our sheets don’t contain added fragrances, but in rare cases, scent transference can occur. If you notice a lingering smell:
- Run an extra rinse cycle to help remove any residue.
- Be mindful of plastic items, which can absorb scents more easily than glass or metal
By following these simple steps, you’ll get sparkling clean dishes with every wash. Still have questions? Feel free to reach out to our team at [email protected], we're here to help!
